Good news: Due to the thorough nature of Mint's pre-sale burn in and testing procedures, this problem has so far proved to be a burn-in period occurrence rather than a customer-reported problem.

Symptom: System just beeps instead of booting. No output on screen.

Typical Solution: Replace the BIOS chip. If (rarely!) this does not alleviate the problem, replace the main board of the system.
