#520: CMOS SETUP instructions for the 5200 /mint.

Please follow these instructions to set up your 5200/mint's CMOS options correctly. Note that the brackets [] indicate a key on your keyboard.

1. Hold down [Ctrl] and [Alt] then press [S] after system passes the memory test.

2. Press [Alt] to activate the CMOS control bar on top of the display.

3. Select "Exit" [Enter], "Default Settings" [Enter], then press [Enter] once more to confirm.

4. Press [Alt], select "Components" [Enter], then "Audio IRQ,DMA" [Enter], press [Tab] twice to select "IRQ9", press your [space bar] to activate the IRQ9 setting for audio port, and press [Enter] to confirm the change.

5. Press [Alt], select "Components" [Enter], then "COM2 Mode" [enter], press [Tab] twice to select "Disabled", press your [space bar] to disable the IrDA(COM2) port, and press [Enter] to confirm the change.

6. Press [Alt], select "Power", cursor-down to "Customized", tab to select "monitor video activity", press space-bar to enable, tab again to select "monitor port 61H", press space-bar to enable, then press [Enter] to save the change.

7. Press [Alt], selcet "Power", cursor-down to "medium power saving", press space-bar to enable, press [Esc], select "Exit" [Enter], then press [Enter] to save the CMOS settings and reboot the system.
